  • Our culture puts emphasis on externalizing efforts, pushing people to strive, to set goals, to go after them in linear fashion.   The “god” of the bottom line devalues the need to alternate periods of intense activity with relaxation or release.  Balancing the striving with letting go is not the usual.  Therefore, the tranquility and calmness that results from mastery of the mind is the exception.  On the other hand although changing, the Eastern culture for the most part spends more time in introspection, mediation and prayer.  The tendency is to d

  • He is an extraordinary golfer, light years ahead of his closest competitors.  We say awesome, unbeatable, exceptionally gifted when we describe him, and he is all of the above.  We who use 10% of our minds and of our potential, wonder what is "it” that he has, that we are missing..  We wonder if we can have some of "it” and if so where do we start?  How can we experience calm, focused success in the midst of our chaotic lives.
